Review:
First I have never read The Hobbit, but from what I gather this is not a long book, so the fact that this film is the first of three, indicating that they may be a little milking. That said however, I am very excited to return to Middle Earth for a new story .. and I was not disappointed with slightest.This Prequel is the story of The Lord of the Rings by following the adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Frodos uncle played by Ian Holm earlier) and how he came to be in possession of the ring. Peter Jacksons The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. . This is just a wonderful movie! I saw a 3D movie and that Jackson intends 48fps and I was blown away by how it looks. This is an awesome movie that left me with the same WOW factor that the original trilogy a decade ago. Set 60 years before The Lord of the Rings, we are introduced to a much younger Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman). He was content Hobbit, there are concerns about any adventure. Even Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly appeared, along with a group of dwarves and Bilbo rebels offered the opportunity to be part of a great adventure. The dwarves want to return their homeland, which was taken by the great dragon named Smaug is a simple concept, and may not have stretched over three films, but as with the first of a trilogy, it sets the stage perfectly. This movie has some great scenes .. meet the dwarves in Bilbos home, running with fighting a giant rock and a leak in the mountain goblins are a few highlights. I loved the scene where Bilbo runs into a familiar face (for fans of The Lord of the Rings) in the caves: Gollum (which looks amazing with technology today MOCAP). Most of the film is the way the group returned to the mountain, but alsothe Bilbo's journey .. gentle and shy at the beginning of the film, the hero find his courage several times through the film. Overall I liked this movie, I thought it looked fantastic care and attention is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also in terms of a clear continuity. This is Peter Jacksons movie, no doubt. Just as he did with the previous trilogy, brings us into a world filled with heroes and villains, orcs and wizards this movie, literally (thanks to 3D and FPS rate) literally brought us to Earth.I East'm already excited to see the next installment, but to keep me satisfied until then .. I could go and see my LOTR boxset again. And they may be the film again! Great stuff!
